March 2021 – Screening Opinion request

March 16, 2021

A Screening Opinion request was submitted to the Local Planning Authority. After consulting with the relevant consultees to seek their advice, the Planning Authority determined that no Environmental Impact Assessment is required as part of a planning application.

Autumn 2025 – Formal Planning Application Submission

After receiving your comments and reviewing them, we aim to have all our documentation ready to submit a planning application for the proposed solar farm. You will be able to access all application documents and survey reports in the planning application portal of Staffordshire Moorlands.

Winter 2025 – Planning Permission

December 1, 2025

The Council will validate the project and the plan will be open to public inspection during the statutory judicial review period. If there are no fruther changes proposed, the municipality will issue its decision, after which, the permit will be granted.

Summer 2061 – Decommissioning

After 40 years, the solar farm will be dismantled and the plots will be delivered in their original state. The dismantling of the solar farm will be carried out by an organisation that focuses entirely on the sustainable dismantling and recycling of solar panels.
